Hydrocarbon refrigerants lower the amount of AMPs used by your unit and decrease the run time. Below is an example of savings with a 3 AMP reduction and two hour run time reduction over a 24 hour period.

Before Hydro Cool:

220 volts x 15 AMPs = 3300 watts ÷ 1000 (kilowatt) = 3.3 kilowatts per hour (KWH)
3.3 KWH x 12 hour daily run time x 30 days = 1188 KWH used per month
1188 KWH x 7.5¢ local charge = $89.10 power bill

With Hydro Cool:

220 volts x 12 AMPs = 2640 watts ÷ 1000 (KW) = 2.6 KWH
2.6 KWH x 10 hour daily run time x 30 days = 780 KWH used per month
780 KWH x 7.5¢ local charge = $58.50 power bill
