Hydro Cool, Inc. is an exclusive distributor for OZ Technology's super efficient, environmentally friendly HC12a/134+® and HC22a/502a® natural hydrocarbon refrigerants. These high efficiency products require no retrofit and reduce energy consumption from 15% to 60%. While America's chemical companies have wielded their powerful influence to resist these marvelous products, the rest of the world is rapidly adopting hydrocarbon refrigeration technology and obsoleting traditional synthetic refrigerants.
Hydro Cool, Inc. is committed to providing the American people with a stable source for Hydrocarbon Refrigerants. In Europe, they have already embraced the worldwide move toward Hydrocarbons. In Germany, the overwhelming majority of refrigerants are now manufactured with Hydrocarbon Technology.
Hydrocarbon Refrigerants were used in America long before Freon®. Freon®, a DuPont product, was used for 50+ years. These man-made refrigerants, CFCs, HCFCs, and HFCs contribute to ozone-depletion and greenhouse gases. Hydrocarbon refrigerants offer the simultaneous solution to the environmental and energy dilemmas currently facing our world.
In 1987, the Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer was adopted. The Protocol called for the reduction and eventual elimination of the man-made ozone depleting substances, including CFCs and hydrochlorofluorocarbons (HCFCs).
Since January 1, 1989 when the Montreal Protocol took effect, the agreement has been amended four times and the number of participants has grown from 29 countries and the European Union to 165 countries.
When Freon® was phased out, the auto industry quickly went with R-134, another DuPont product. Alternative refrigerants have been made available since 1992. Greenpeace has played an important role in developing and promoting the Greenfreeze refrigerator. It uses natural refrigerants as a safe alternative to HFCs and HCFCs. This technology is now widely available for home refrigerators in Australia, New Zealand, Europe, and China.
While industrial cooling systems are more complex than domestic refrigeration, environmentally benign coolants are readily available. Global corporations, including Iceland, Electrolux, Esso, Volvo, British Airways, Ericsson, Bosch-Siemans, Unilever, Coke, McDonalds, and others, already use these alternative refrigerants.
Our purpose is to make sure the most environmentally friendly and energy efficient refrigerants are available for those who see the need. You can decide to save money; protect the environment; and keep your family safe from the hazardous products that are currently in your homes, cars, and businesses. Please enjoy our site.
